Phantom Neuro - Minimally invasive control system for robotic prosthetics and exoskeletons

Phantom Neuro, founded by Dr. Connor Glass, is pioneering muscle-machine interface, a safer and more effective alternative to brain-machine interface (i.e. Elon Musk's Neuralink) for many patients. Electrical signals in muscle are 1,000 times larger and easier to detect than brain signals. Their device, the Phantom X, is a thin band of sensors inserted under the skin and above the muscle in a simple 60-minute outpatient procedure. The device uses AI/ML algorithms to decode the muscle signals, translating them into the intended motion in a robotic prosthetic in real-time. The result is a completely intuitive experience for the patient, providing lifelike control with little to no learning curve.
